Ohio Consumer Protection Summit

Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray invites you to attend the Ohio Consumer Protection Summit, a one-day event featuring keynote speakers Bob Sullivan, author of the New York Times Bestseller “Gotcha Capitalism” and his new book, “Stop Getting Ripped Off: Why Consumers Get Screwed and How You Can Always Get a Good Deal;” and David Vladeck, director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection and professor of law, Georgetown University Law Center.

Other panelists will discuss threats to consumers and what Ohioans can do to protect themselves from unfair and deceptive business practices, financial predators and sneaky fees.

Attention Residents!!!

Are you aware that K&M Deli has applied for a liquor license on E. 79th Street, in the Kinsman neighborhood after they promised they would not?

Do we actually need another liquor license operation in our neighborhood?


Well, get on the bus with us to the public hearing in Columbus, OH on January 12, 2010.   The bus will leave from Burten, Bell, Carr Development’s office, 7201 Kinsman Road, Suite 104 at 8:30am.  We will return to Cleveland by 5pm.

Opportunity Corridor Public Meeting Tomorrow!!!

The Opportunity Corridor Study is investigating possible roadway alternatives to create the transportation infrastructure for the revival and redevelopment of large tracts of vacant industrial and residential land in the city of Cleveland.

The purpose of this public meeting will be to present the initial findings of the study and to gather public input regarding the corridor and conceptual alternative solutions being developed.

All comments received will be given careful consideration as the study progresses.
