Two internship positions are available, one for Burten, Bell, Carr and one for Ward 5 Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland.  Detailed information below.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Provide assistance to full-time staff members.  Purpose of program is to expose youth in our Ward 5 to the field of community development.  Student will be paid at a rate of $10 per hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist staff members in the following functions:

Program Intake

  • File preparation
  • Document Verification

Data Tracking and Management

  • Web based Data management Programs
  • Spreadsheet Data Management

Event Planning

Other general office duties, including:

  • Answering phone (5-line phone system)
  • Photocopying
  • Light filing
  • Light typing
  • Mass mailings

All other general office duties as assigned by Grants Management Director or other BBC Staff.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Moderate typing skills.

Must possess favorable interpersonal skills and the ability to complete tasks efficiently. Must also be dependable.

Must be able to work at minimum 10 hours per week.
