As you may know, BBC received funding to engage a transportation planning and traffic engineering firm to study how to make Kinsman Road between East 68th and 84th Streets safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. We are seeking to develop a plan that can be easily implemented within the next three to five years for immediate impact on safety.
Through a community process, goals of the study and potential alternatives for Kinsman Road were identified. Residents and stakeholders then vetted the three options and selected on that would become the preferred alternative.
BBC is posting the preferred alternative for download and public comment:
Kinsman Road, between East 68th and 70th Streets
Kinsman Road, between East 70th and 75th Streets
Kinsman Road, between East 75th and 81st Streets
Kinsman Road, between East 81st and CSX Railroad
