Ohio is one of the largest prison states in the nation, with prisons built to hold 38,665 people, but currently housing nearly 51,000

Attend a panel discussion on the disastrous consequences of “tough on crime” policies that have led Ohio to incarcerate people by the masses resulting in a strain to the state budget.

Panelists include:

  • Terry Collins, former director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.
  • Shakyra Diaz, education director for the ACLU of Ohio.
  • Edward Little, criminal/juvenile justice consultant.
