Building Community Through the Arts:

Two Free Workshops with Artist and Advocate Lily Yeh

Wednesday, June 9th

10 am to 11:30 am

and

12:30 pm to 2 pm

Using a model proven in her 20 years at the Village of Arts and Humanities in North Philadelphia, Yeh will discuss how you can use arts to create a sense of community in your neighborhood. Learn more about Yeh and her work worldwide at www.barefootartists.org

Workshops are free, but you must register. Lunch is provided

General Workshop

Learn the methodology behind the model 10 am to 11:30 am (You must attend this workshop with others from your group, organization, or neighborhood if you plan on attending the second workshop.)

Project Workshop

Learn how to launch a project in your community 12:30 pm to 2 pm (You must attend the morning workshop in order to attend this workshop. Please attend with others from your group, organization, or neighborhood.)

Spice up your garden with a few herbs! Take this opportunity to learn how to grow herbs that will add fresh flavor to your cooking and color to your garden.
