The first large-scale retail development project in the Central neighborhood in over forty years, Arbor Park Place affords community residents access to safe, convenient, nearby shopping and services. The $6.2 million redevelopment of the former Longwood Plaza features a Dave’s Supermarket, KeyBank, Dollar Mart, and Fashion 216. Arbor Park Place was completed and opened in 2005.

The latest additions to Arbor Park Place are You Ask For It, a full-service soul food restaurant, and El Dorado Barber Shop. Both are local, minority-owned businesses.

Arbor Park Place, located at Community College Boulevard and East 40th Street, has generated over seventy-five new jobs, more than half of which have been provided to low-to-moderate income neighborhood residents.

Area stakeholders have taken great pride in Arbor Park Place, cultivating it as the “town square” of the Central neighborhood and a center for community activity.

BBC is excited to continue to bring new retail to complement the new housing being built in the area.
