We’ve previously blogged about how we received funding from Reimagining Cleveland to beautify the large vacant parcel located directly south of the E 79th St RTA Blue/Green Rapid Station.  Our goals for the project are to improve a long-time neglected vacant property, make access to the rapid station better and safer to ultimately boost transit use, and change perceptions of the Kinsman neighborhood.

In February, BBC hosted a community meeting for residents and community stakeholders to share their visions and tell us what kinds of elements they would like to see incorporated into a master plan for the site.

BBC’s Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellow Erick Rodriguez has prepared a preliminary plan based on the ideas collected at the first community design meeting.

He will be presenting his draft plan for feedback on Tuesday, March 11 at 6pm at BBC, 7201 Kinsman Road, Suite 104.  Your opinions are valued and appreciated, and we hope you will contribute to a very important project in the Kinsman neighborhood.

Construction on phase I of the plan will begin in the spring or summer.
