You know how critical passing the levy is to our children’s future. Please come for a training to learn more about The Cleveland Plan and Issue 107 so that you can share with other parents about the need and the promise.
Parents are the most persuasive messengers of this issue. Come learn more about the Cleveland Plan and become an official Parent Messenger of the campaign. The training will last about an hour and you’ll leave with a campaign button, stickers, signs and all the information you need to turn your school and community onto the needs of our children.

Youth Chef Class
Mondays @ 4:00pm – 5:30pm – Starting September 24th
This 4 week class, for youth chefs ages 7-12, is designed to teach good nutrition and how to cook healthy snacks.
Presented by Sharon Glaspie, Building Healthy Communities
Extended Food and Nutrition Education Program (ENEP)
Thursdays @ 4:00pm – 5:30pm – Starting September 27th
This 4 week class, for families with children, is designed to teach nutrition education, manage food dollars, understanding labels, and choosing healthy snacks.
Presented by Ohio State University Extension

CMSD Parent University – Sign up Now
Wednesday, September 19th, 2012CMSD invites you to enroll in the Spring Session of CMSD Parent University. All parents or caregivers of students enrolled in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District or district sponsored Charter Schools are eligible to participate. The workshops and classes are free of cost.
Please complete the application form and mail or fax it back to the address indicated. You may also register by phone at 216.858.0117. You will receive a confirmation letter or e-mail. You can also check on the status of your application by calling 216.858.0117 .
• The acceptance letter will list the class start and end dates and location. If you decide not to attend the class, please call
216.858.0117 and we will remove your name from the class list.
• If the class is already full, we will send you a letter letting you know that your name is on the waiting list for that class. We will notify you as soon as space opens in that class or when the next class is being offered.
Each time you come to a workshop or course you will be entered into a raffle drawing for various prizes including a wireless pc tablet, gift cards, and other items.
Recreational activities for children ages 5-18 are available at each site, and dinner is provided for the whole family.

Bridgeport Cafe NOW OPEN! – Grand Opening Scheduled for 10/11

We’re very happy to report that Bridgeport Cafe, located at 7201 Kinsman Road, 103A, is officially open for business!
The soft opening means that the staff will have time to fine tune its operations, get accustomed to working together, take care of any outstanding odds and ends, and iron out any kinks before the grand opening on October 11.
So stop in for breakfast, lunch, or a snack sometime soon!

BBC’s Bridgeport Cafe and Cornucopia Featured in Freshwater Cleveland
