Work with BBC as an Americorps VISTA!

Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. has an available Americorps VISTA position with a one-year tenure beginning in November 2010.

Our Americorps VISTA member will help us improve the communities we serve by assisting neighborhood residents in pursuing and applying for available programs, resources, and services;  finding creative solutions to issues in the community; and, carrying out other community development-related activities as assigned.  However, our VISTA member will become exposed to all aspects of community development, including real estate development and grantwriting.

If you are a recent graduate seeking to enter into the fields of urban planning, neighborhood development, or social services or are seeking to make a career change, this is an ideal opportunity for you to gain meaningful experience, build your networks in the field, and position yourself for future employment prospects.

Save Our Homes Summit

Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray is hosting a Save Our Homes Foreclosure Summit.  The event will be held:

BBC builds a new play ground in one day!

On July 10, 2010,  Burten, Bell, Carr, Development Inc., (BBC) KaBOOM!, and Foresters Insurance along with over 300 volunteers including sororities and fraternities, small businesses, local colleges, active community residents, and individuals constructed a playground on East 73rd Street between Central and Cedar Avenues in the East Central neighborhood of Cleveland.
