| The Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (GOFBCI) Announces Capacity Building Assistance for Nonprofits and Community Groups
Free Trainings and One-on-One Technical Assistance
In line with their mission to strengthen the capacity of faith-based and community-based groups, GOFBCI is offering high-quality capacity building training and technical support through teh Community Engagement Partnership Grant Program. As part of this initiative, regional partners are now providing free trainings and technical assistance to any interested faith-based or community-based organization or nonprofit, anywhere throughout the state.
The trainings will focus on finding and applying for grants, obtaining 501(c)(3) status, social entrepreneurship, nonprofit basics, board and committee development, and more.
In addition to the trainings, regional partners listed below will also provide free one-on-one technical assistance to individuals and organizations upon request. Training and technical assistance will be available through June 30, 2011. The April through June 2010 training schedule is listed below by region.

These free workshops and one-on-one support are available to interested individuals, organizations with 501(c)(3) status and organizations who have not obtained 501(c)(3) status.
