The Summer Sprout Program is currently accepting applications for new community gardens.  The program takes place within the City of Cleveland and is focused on nurturing community gardens to grow vegetables.  There are several Summer Sprout gardens in the Central and Kinsman neighborhoods, including E. 35th Street, E. 61st Street at Quincy Avenue, Colfax Road and Marshall Avenue.

 Summer Sprout may provide seeds, starter plants, soil, fertilizer, rototilling and educational resources to gardeners.  In order to apply one must:

  1. Be a resident of Cleveland
  2. Have legal permission to use property to garden in the City of Cleveland
  3. Have at least 5 garden members who are not all related
  4. Be willing to attend educational workshops and donate time back to the Summer Sprout Program
